
Oculus Rift
The Oculus Rift is an upcoming next-generation virtual reality headset designed for immersive gaming. It is currently being developed by Oculus VR and started pre-orders to developers only.

It is a $300 virtual reality headset that can display stereoscopic 3D and offer head tracking to let you look around inside virtual worlds. It uses two lenses in a ski mask-style head-mounted display that combine to form a 1280 x 800 display. Each eye sees 640 x 800 pixels. The rest of the hardware simply consists of a break-out control box you use to plug the Rift into your computer; it features DVI, HDMI, micro-USB and power.

Developer test
A consumer-oriented ‘Oculus Rift 2.0’ is in development, which will be aimed at a general market and feature improved components. It will have Improved head tracking, weapon tracking, 1080p resolution,[and wireless operation are some of the features under consideration for the Rift 2.0.
