iOS 7

iOS 7 is an upcoming mobile operating system by Apple Inc. as the successor to iOS 6. It was announced on June 10 at Apple’s WWDC 2013, and is scheduled to be released in Fall 2013. It includes a whole redesigned user interface and a number of improvements to the operating system.

It will be available for iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, iPad Mini, iPod Touch 5th Gen.

Oculus VR: Oculus Rift

Oculus Rift

The Oculus Rift is an upcoming next-generation virtual reality headset designed for immersive gaming. It is currently being developed by Oculus VR and started pre-orders to developers only.

It is a $300 virtual reality headset that can display stereoscopic 3D and offer head tracking to let you look around inside virtual worlds. It uses two lenses in a ski mask-style head-mounted display that combine to form a 1280 x 800 display. Each eye sees 640 x 800 pixels. The rest of the hardware simply consists of a break-out control box you use to plug the Rift into your computer; it features DVI, HDMI, micro-USB and power.

Developer test

A consumer-oriented ‘Oculus Rift 2.0’ is in development, which will be aimed at a general market and feature improved components. It will have Improved head tracking, weapon tracking, 1080p resolution,^[and wireless operation are some of the features under consideration for the Rift 2.0.

GOOGLE: Asus Nexus 7

Nexus 7

Nexus 7 is the new 7-inch tablet from Google, in partnership with Asus. It comes with the latest Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean), NVIDIA Tegra Quad-core processor so everything is really fast, like gaming or running multiple apps. It was designed with gaming in mind.

With a quad-core performance, a vibrant 1280-by-800 high-resolution display, and sensors like a gyroscope and accelerometer. With over 9 hours of HD video playback, 10 hours of web browsing or e-reading, and up to 300 hours of standby time, it can go the distance. Writing messages is easier than ever with Gesture Typing – glide your finger over the letters to compose emails or texts in a second. The keyboard can anticipate and predict the next word. It also comes with the Google apps.
